arugula

Varieties we grow and love: Astro is our favorite variety – lots of bright green-peppery bite. Many varieties grown commercially have deeply serrated edges instead of the smoother lobed edges seen on Astro.

Storage

As always, fresh produce is most delicious and nutritious when consumed as close to the harvest date as possible.

Sometimes our arugula is bunched with the roots still attached. It will do quite well in a glass of water in the fridge for a week or even on your counter for a few days. Sometimes we cut it and bag it in these great poly-carbonate bags. You can store for a week or more in this bag in the fridge.

*If your greens look a little limp when you get them home, they will bounce right back if you immerse them in a bowl of cold water for a while. Drain of water and prep for use, or store in plastic bag in fridge until you are ready for them.
