Our plants are available at the New Braintree Farm (outdoor shopping), preorder for pickup at multiple locations, and shipping to most states!* Please note, we will not be opening our retail shop in Lunenburg this season (does not affect the Lunenburg CSA). You may preorder for pickup in Lunenburg.

While it’s too early to plant summer favorites like tomatoes and peppers, it’s not too early to start planning. Want to make sure you get all your favorite varieties before they sell out? Visit our New Braintree Farm during our early shopping days Saturday April 17 through Saturday April 24 (including Sunday April 18) from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and pick out all your favorites. We will then put them aside for you and continue growing them in the ideal conditions in our greenhouse. You can then pick them up later when the weather is suitable for planting in your garden.

Arkansas Traveler | Heirloom: Indeterminate, 85 days. Bred by the University of Arkansas in 1968, this is an incredibly well known tomato, popularized for its ability to fruit consistently in hot weather, yielding abundant crops of large, pink colored tomatoes. Very flavorful. |
Aunt Gertie’s Gold | Heirloom: Indeterminate, 75 days. Originally from Virginia, this tomato will become a favorite in your garden simply for its superb taste alone! Potatoleaved plants produce large golden-yellow, slightly irregular shaped fruits. |

Carbon | Heirloom: Indeterminate, 80 days. Sure to be an allstar in your vegetable garden this summer, this is among the darkest of the black type tomatoes available, and arguably one of the best tasting tomatoes to be grown. Expect modest yields of medium to large fruits. |

Celebrity | Determinate, 72 days. One of our favorites, this variety is a must! 1984 All American Selections Award winner. A great midseason variety, yielding medium to large, high quality red fruits with exceptional flavor. Strong vines with good cover and great disease resistance. |

Cherokee Purple | Heirloom: Indeterminate, 72 days. Our very own tomatoes received 1st place, “Best Tasting Heirloom Tomato” at the Massachusetts State Tomato Fest. This tomato is distinctly different than other tomatoes sold as Golden Queen, for this strain is of seed obtained from the USDA seed bank and is the original Golden Queen described by seedsman Livingston in 1882. As the legend goes, a farmer burdened by a large mortgage on his farm, grew this tomato and generated enough profits to “lift” the mortgage on his farm. Paul Robeson | Heirloom: Indeterminate, 75 days. This Russian heirloom is one of the most sought after, regarded black tomatoes. Average sized deep maroon fruits are smooth and free of most cracks and blemishes. Terrific, distinct black tomato flavor. |
Peron | Indeterminate, 68 days. A South American variety, the company that first introduced this tomato claims it to be so pest resistant, no spraying needed! In addition, this plants 8 oz. good flavored6fruits boast higher levels of Vitamin C than any other tomato. |
