Where it all happens...
Most of our produce is grown at the New Braintree farm. New Braintree, a very small town in Central Massachusetts, maintains its bucolic character by being home to many diverse farms …and, of course, there’s no way to get here. It is a beautiful experience to take a deep breath or gaze up at the stars! We think our produce and animals must like it as well.
Glenn starts everything right here on the farm; this ensures the variety and the quality of everything. For enthusiasts like us, it is actually hard to keep the variety of tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and melons to a minimum. The planting seems like it goes on forever, and once the harvest starts – lookout! The barn is literally brimming with the bounty from the fields. We loosely refer to ourselves as “plant freaks” because there is hardly anything we don’t grow – or at least tried to grow. Even our yard is filling up with unusual trees and shrubs.
Land stewardship is a serious business at Stillman’s Farm. There is nothing more satisfying than walking the fertile fields and watching not only the crops thrive, but see the native plant and wildlife species along the hedgerows and wetlands prosper too!
The New Braintree Farm is open for plant sales Monday through Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm, mid-April through June. We will also be open this summer for produce sales, days and times TBD. On farm CSA pickups are on Mondays. Our CSA members are welcome to the farm anytime (within reason) to wander the farm scoping out the future harvest. We generally have maps available upon request. Your well-behaved children (this includes dogs ;)) are most welcome! Consider yourself invited! We are located at the intersection of Barre Cut-off and Barre Rd in New Braintree.
Check out the list of local attractions to see while you are visiting!
…And then there is the Lunenburg Farm. Glenn bought the farm in Lunenburg in 1980, and when it became too difficult to drive up and down the road with a tractor, he bought the farm in New Braintree. We have shifted the retail plant sales to the farm in New Braintree. We still do CSA pick ups in Lunenburg.

We take pride in how our farm looks through the seasons too. We cut hedgerows and plant as efficiently as possible so the view is always a gorgeous one!
