Grow a Victory Garden during our war against the Coronavirus. “Food will win the war” said Woodrow Wilson. Well, even if you are not worried about your food supply, growing a garden, whether it be in containers, raised bed, or right in your back yard, is a rewarding and fun activity -and educational too! Start with tried and true plants grown by us. We use the same varieties and starts for our own crops we sell all season, so you know they are going to be good.
The Early Spring Victory Garden Kit will contain a mix of hardy plant packs and possibly radish or carrot seeds for planting now: lettuces, spinach, swiss chard, kale, peas, onions, broccoli, mesclun or other greens; possibly radish or carrot seeds.
Look forward to the main season Victory Garden that will include tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, greens, squashes, cucumbers, …
Don’t have anything to plant in? Try using your reusable bags! Open your bag, fold the top edge down, make as square as possible and start filling with soil. A helper or two might be nice to keep your bag from slumping over during the filling process.
